Habitus: commonly as rounded, globular, reniform and botryoidal aggregates. Crystals are prismatic to acicular, rarely tabular to equant
Hardness: 3½ - 4
Fracture: irregular/uneven, sub-conchoidal
Cleavage: poor/indistinct on {10-11}
Density: 7.14 g/cm
Origin and geological occurrence: it is a common secondary mineral of oxidation zone of lead-deposits.
